Good Health and Healthy Lifestyles

We all want good health. What we eat and drink and what we do not eat and drink can definitely make a difference to our health. We should eat less saturated fat. Eating five or more serving of fruits and vegetables a day can help improve our health. If we eat balanced diet, then we can reduce the risk of many chronic diseases.
We should follow these tips for a healthy life:

# Maintain a healthy weight-Obesity is not good. It is spreading like an epidemic. Over weight people are at high risk of diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease.

# Get-moving– On all days, minimum thirty minutes of moderate physical activity is must. It does not take a lot of time or money, but it does take commitment. Find fun ways such as dancing, gardening, swimming and walking to stay in shape and feel good.

# Remain- smoke free– Smoking is not good for your health.

# Get routine exams– Based on your age, health history, lifestyle and other important issues, you need to be examined. If problems are found early, the chances for treatment and cure are better.

# Manage- stress– You should protect your mental and physical health by engaging yourselves in activities that help you manage stress at work and at home.

By following above points, you’ d be in good health. But it is equally important to be good to you. Health is not merely the absence of diseases. It is a lifestyle. Whether it’ s getting enough sleep, relaxing after a stressful day or enjoying a hobby, it is important to take time to be good to you. Take steps to balance work, home and play. You need balanced diet to be healthy and a balanced lifestyle to be healthy and happy.
